First off,
R.I.P. Haydain Neale who died of lung cancer on November 22, 2009. He was the lead singer of JackSOUL, one of my favourite Canadian, Toronto based bands. Their sound is very relaxed and chill, kinda relates to my mood as of late.

It seems there was a 3 day gap between posts good job mike for keepin up ahha i'm too lazy to post plus packed with school shiet to worry about, including looking for a job for the coming months Jan-Apr. It's been a busy week everyone getting on that school tip especially because everything seems to be getting faster with tests and assignments.

But even in the midst of it all other extra curriculars have been occuring. I am finally learning more piano which I'm not sure if I've mentioned, but I have decided to take it up because it's my favourite instrument. Besides that Mike is doing O.U.C.H. and they've started practices.. haha and he was already late for one... its all good hah. Paul has been busy on that studying tip and getting UWFSA organized and stuff from what I know. ANNDDD yeah.. pretty much it ... oh and UW Hip Hop is starting up soon and oddly enough this time around I'm excited for it. I believe Me, Paul, Alex(good friend of ours) and Cyril(also another friend) are teaching first class. Speaking of which finally finished my choreo as of last night and proceeded to pass out after.

Overall this term is turning out to be an interesting one. There's been roomie talk of starting a band; Dayday on Drums, Mike on Guitar, Paul on Ukelele, and me on Piano once I start learning more complicated songs than "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". Also all the random dinners with Phameroy, UWHH and roomies + Paul(the unofficial roomie). Let's see how this goes and hopefully we can all stay on top of our HW. DEUCES...

This song has been on repeat for me, its soo goooodd. Mike, Rach and I were chilling one night and decided to go through songs that they'd like to play and jam to. This was one of those songs. At the time I had never heard it before so they told me to just listen to it and learn how to sing it for kicks while Mike taught Rach how to play it on the ukelele. And since then it's been on repeat and yet I still don't remember all the lyrics...

All in all good songs. I've come to the conclusion that this is starting to seem like a very music filled term and I like how its going... hopefully I can balance it and still do good in school. For now we'll see how this goes...

Ok... kinda creeped out,
I watched the Last Exorcism last night and kinda stayed up late talking with my roommate. And since I watched that movie i decided to close my door when i slept and when I woke up today my door was wide open... (:S) kinda freaked me out since i have no recollection of this and my mind is rationalizing it with irrational possibilities...

Either I slept walk and opened it or even scarier, my roommate sleep walked from his room and opened it because he knows the code to my room. ( Yes we have codes instead of keys for our rooms here.) But yeah we both have history of sleepwalking, although he has more recent history of doing it...

i think i want to change the code to my room...

One of those moments

So in my night class, I had one of those moments where I remembered something hilarious that happened to me and my boy mike. While we were in china town in toronto one day we we're walking by this salesman who let one rip outta the blue like a loud ass fart. In class I remembered that incident and burst out in laughter in the middle of class. Mike was wondering why I was laughing so I told him about that incident and we both burst out laughing. sheeeeeeeeeeit gotta get focused mannn LOLLLLLL hilarious times though.

alright so i flopped on some of my objectives for the summer...
1: RUN.
2: Spray Paint.
3: Break.
4: Trick.
5: Beach
6: Swim.
7: Volleyball.
8: Take pictures/record videos.
9: Stargaze
no lie i did run...(only twice though)
if you follow this blog you'll know that me(Rain) and Mike tried our hand at spray painting...
did break every now and then...
took pics and recorded vids which have yet to be posted...
and went stargazing one time which failed because of damn clouds ... but that doesn't stop me from gazing on a regular basis... i love stars...
So in light of my failure of not completing this list i shall make a to do list for this term as well...
... but not right now all in good time.(i'm just lazy)

End of Summer...

So this post has been long due. Maybe it was a combination of me being lazy or me not wanting to admit summer is over... anyways it was a good summer especially the last months or so. Good times with some amazing people...


Identity Crisis placed 3rd at Flip Hop Competition @ Wonderland. Congrats to them and much love for this crew. Unfortunately all parts of Clear.Concept were unable to be part of it this year but we did show our support... they did amazing so it'd be hard not to support them.

So after all the performing and what not this sexy group of people decided to take advantage of being in Wonderland. This led us to the ride "THE BEHEMOTH" where we rode twice before getting kicked out of the park at 10pm... "Love you guys..." (no homo?)

Even after wonderland we decided it was not time to part just yet.
Late night @ Warren's, playing Identity Crisis the game and eating/drinking this was followed by more chillage and not sleeping and an unfortunate "see you later" to our dear friend Acca who has gone back to her side of Canada.

It may be the end of summer and time to get cracking on those books but it definitely does not mean the end of good times with amazing people...
We'll all meet again i'm sure of it and good times will be had but for now do what you gotta do...

Paul Emo??? wtf NO WAY!?

See I was never really a sad kid. I'd have my share of rough lessons in love and such but I never had any serious emo moments growing up. I've listened to my fair share of dashboard, MCR, and such but when it came to sad feelings and such nothing said it better than oldies. Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Tammi Terrell, etc. Their music at certain times when i'm sad can easily cause the flood gates to open for me haha. Listening to this song from Al Green actually brings a tear to my eye remember people who I've lost.

Longboards

Longboarding was pretty much half my summer.
My first longboard was a Rayne Hellcat, randall 180s, with Zombie hawg wheels. To tell you the truth I didn't really like it at first because I wanted a board to cruise and carve with, and my board was made for hardcore downhill, but I LOVE IT now. It's still a pretty intimidating board and it probably won't get the ladies as effectively as Paul's dervish :P but it's fuckin addicting...

A couple weeks ago I got a new deck from Ray, made from I think 5 layers of Baltic Birch. It's a drop through deck with a super light concave. It's shorter than the hellcat so I could use it to get around campus, and the best part is it's completely blank! how is that the best part? Custom grip tape! I haven't gotten around to putting grip tape on yet, but my design will probably be clouds. (FLYING NIMBUS!!!!) oh yeah the second best part is that it was only $25. which was a pretty sick deal.

Flip Hop 2010 - Identity Crisis

Big Ups to IC for an awesome performance I knew you guys would kill it, honestly I did get a bit nervous for them but they pulled through to make it for 3rd place and I'm proud.

Loo

Sometimes it feels like this life is the dream and i'm going to wake up to something amazing...(no inception)

but yeah its weird,
ever get that feeling whenever there's a period in your life that's out of the ordinary.
Like coming back from a fun vacation or good times with friends like camping or just being in loo doing nothing but chilling...

It sucks because it feels like you're waking up from a good dream into regular boring life.
Thats what it feels like right now and truthfully I don't want to wake up although i know eventually i'll have to...

Classical Gas

Just got back into playing guitar... my brother bought new picks and a couple drumsticks yesterday, but it sucks that I only have one day to play some solid guitar. So far I learned the intro to Taylor- Jack Johnson (i stopped learning it after the intro because the intro is all I wanted to learn haha).
I also tried to relearn Classical Gas. I used to be able to play it decent. I relearned it, then checked youtube to see how it sounds compared to the real song and realized why I gave up guitar a while back hahaha. just kidding :)
